I’m a native New Yorker, former NPR producer and current student in the MFA Creative Writing Program at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. I love to roast cauliflower and, sometimes, compulsively bake things. I’m nostalgic for St. Paul, Minnesota, Washington, DC and REM.
A friend recently reminded me of that David Brooks’ column from 2007 called “The Odyssey Years.” It’s about this new life phase between adolescence and adulthood when people of my generation kinda wander around and don’t commit to anything, even though what we all truly want is stability and a family. It made both of us feel a lot better about ourselves. And, I decided it would be the perfect excuse for all my romantic failures.
Hope you enjoy!
